Lights on, doors opened. It was an hour after lunch, and the Audio-Visual Room of Saint Joseph College was filled with indistinct chatter and echoes as the students donning a screaming orange gathered to celebrate the Family Day 1.

The energy soared high as the stage was set for entertainment. The microphone was on, the music started playing, and the students started humming. They were preparing for an afternoon jam like no other. Despite holding the party in the four-walled hall, their voices were not silenced. Numerous performers sang in different genres which filled the room with harmonious echoes. Some have sang their hearts out, some felt the lyrics rushing through their veins, and the songs conveyed a message that permeated through their soul. They were screaming in color.

Smiles were drawn on the studentsโ€™ faces as the afternoon went by. As the guitar was plucked, a harmony began to envelope the whole room which fueled up the jamming session. Many voices, one song. Each tells a different emotion. Each tells a story. They cheerfully sang aloud, belting the tunes out, feeling every moment as an escape from the hustling academic works piled up.

As the clock was ticking half past two, the footsteps began screeching. The jam did not end with just merely singing. The students gracefully danced and gathered in the center, and while the performers were singing, they also started playing games. What a way to spend the afternoon, a way to be creative and enthusiastic. The room was filled with laughter and screams and everyone was feeling ecstatic.

Cheerful tunes, contagious laughter, and spirit soaring high. At the College of Computer Studies, new memories were made, and new bonds were formed. The event strengthened their oneness as a department and the identity that they wear. Candy prizes may have been given to those who won the games, but the real prize they all received was the radiating warmth of their laughter that no wall could ever harbor.
