The sun-drenched afternoon, awaits fun and exciting games, and was getting into the nerves of the Criminology students of Saint Joseph College for the celebration of Family Day 1: Taking the word and listening to the Father attentively. The program was held at the SJC-Mambajao Campus. A large percentage of criminology students were present in the event; despite the short notice and troublesome finding venue and canceled ball games, the governor, together with the other officers, assured everyone of the exciting and fun games that fueled the energy of the students. The historical event, as described by the governor in an interview, had created teamwork for the one-night preparation, and great camaraderie was established.

Initially, a warm welcome was addressed by their governor to a dive into the world of games. The captivating energy of cheering and pumping music, the excitement of the competition and the desire to win, supportive students, and a lively crowd create a positive and energetic environment, and everyone experiencing the event together creates a sense of unity and shared passion. The criminology students reverberated throughout the campus.

The games started with teams from the combination of different levels, the 1st year students together with the 4th year students, and the 2nd year and 3rd year students were fused. A fun and engaging activity for the students is the Caterpillar Walk, a game where participants crawl on the ground, mimicking the movement of a caterpillar. Players typically form a line, with the person at the front leading the way. The following players imitate the leader’s movements, such as crawling forward, backward, or turning. It’s a simple yet fun game that can be enjoyed by individuals of all ages. It can symbolize the qualities of precision, determination, method, transformation, and patience. Criminology students must be meticulous in their investigations, carefully examining evidence and following leads. Criminology can be a challenging field, but dedicated students must be persistent in their pursuit of justice. As studentsโ€™ progress through their studies and careers, they may experience personal and professional growth. Criminologists must be patient in their investigations, observing patterns and waiting for opportunities to emerge.

Well, that was a blast! They have laughed, they have played, and they have strengthened their bonds as a criminology community. Remember to keep the lessons they have learned: teamwork is key, even in the quirkiest situations. And most importantly, never underestimate the potential of a good laugh to achieve great things. Keep solving crimes and having fun as transcending Josephinians.
