On September 26, 2024, the Senior+ RCY Council of Saint Joseph College, with over 60 members from the Senior High School Department, participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) alongside our college and junior high school medics. In coordination with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) under Dr. Almira Miras, we conducted a realistic simulation that involved over 20 mock patients. This exercise allowed us to engage in essential emergency response activities, including triage, first aid, patient transport, and evacuation, all aimed at enhancing our readiness for potential disasters.

The collaborative efforts across departments demonstrated our strong commitment to safety and disaster preparedness. Each participant played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of emergency procedures, highlighting the importance of teamwork and coordination. By actively engaging in these drills, we strengthen our practical skills and reinforce the importance of community resilience, aligning with nationwide goals to promote disaster awareness and readiness.
