On February 10, 2025, Saint Joseph College commenced Family Day 3 with a solemn and meaningful Holy Eucharist, presided over by the school president, Msgr. Oscar A. Cadayona, at the Maasin Cathedral-Shrine. This sacred gathering set the tone for the week’s celebration, bringing together students, faculty, staff, alumni, and parents in a spirit of faith and unity.
For 97 years, Saint Joseph College has been unwavering in its commitment to fostering the values of faith, knowledge, service, and gratitude. As a Catholic institution, it has consistently provided an environment where academic excellence and moral formation go hand in hand. The dedicated educators and staff have not only imparted knowledge but have also nurtured the holistic development of students, preparing them to become responsible individuals guided by Christ’s teachings.
The legacy of Saint Joseph College is deeply rooted in the contributions of past generations of Josephiniansโstudents, teachers, administrators, and benefactorsโwho have played important roles in shaping the institution into what it is today. However, this journey of growth does not end with past achievements. Instead, each milestone serves as a stepping stone toward new heights, reminding every member of the Educative Family that they are part of an ever-evolving legacy. Together, they carry the torch forward, striving for excellence and continuing the mission of education and service to the community.
During his homily, Msgr. Cadayona reflected on the significance of Christโs presence in our daily lives and within the very fabric of the institution. He urged the community to remain steadfast in their pursuit of faith, knowledge, and service, emphasizing that the strength of Saint Joseph College lies not just in its academic standing but in its unwavering dedication to forming individuals who live out these values.
As Family Day 3 progressed, it became a celebration of unity, gratitude, and shared purposeโa reaffirmation of Saint Joseph Collegeโs mission to educate minds, touch hearts, and transform lives for the greater glory of God.
