St. Scholastica was a 6th-century Italian nun and the twin sister of St. Benedict, the founder of Western monasticism. She dedicated her life to God and established a convent near Monte Cassino, following her brotherโs Rule. Known for her deep faith and devotion, she shared a special bond with Benedict, and their last meeting was marked by a miraculous storm that prevented him from leaving, allowing them to spend more time in prayer. She passed away around 543 AD and is honored as the patron saint of nuns and education.
Today we commemorate the life and legacy of St. Scholastica, the patron saint of education, students, and Benedictine monasteries. Her steadfast faith, wisdom, and devotion to God continue to inspire our CTE community.
As we celebrate her feast day, may we embody her ideals of prayer, humility, and service to others. Let us continue to shine as Future Educators, strengthening our faith and excellence!

O God, to show us where innocence leads, you made the soul of your virgin Saint Scholastica soar to heaven like a dove in flight. Grant through her merits and her prayers that we may so live in innocence as to attain to joys everlasting. This we ask through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen.
St. Scholastica, pray for us!
