The Kahayag Festival, a key event in the annual commemoration of the 504th Anniversary of the First Easter Mass, took place on the evening of March 30, 2025, at the Magallanes Shrine Grounds. This yearโ€™s festival brought together youth delegates from various vicariates to showcase performances that embodied the themes of faith, hope, and love.

Held on the eve of the anniversary, the festival is a tradition that reenacts the dawn of Catholicism in the Philippines. The evening was marked by a spirited and vibrant display of devotion, as the youth delegates demonstrated their creativity and dedication through song and dance.

Rev. Fr. Johnrey Sibi, Chairman of the Limasawa Commission, formally opened the festival with a welcoming address. His remarks set the tone for the night, emphasizing the importance of unity and faith within the community.

Despite persistent rainfall, the performers from the vicariates of Baybay, Sogod, Malitbog, Pacific, Panaon, Hilongos, and Pacu continued with their performances, displaying remarkable resilience. Each group presented its own unique choreography, contributing to an unforgettable celebration of faith and tradition.

The excitement culminated in the awarding ceremony, where the crowd eagerly awaited the announcement of the Festival Champion and the Festival King and Queen. The Pacific Vicariate emerged as the Festival Champion, while representatives from Hilongos and Pacific were named Festival King and Queen, respectively.

Congratulations to all the vicariates!
