SJC Criminology Shooting Range Receives PNP Accreditation for Professional Firearms Training

The Philippine National Police Civil Security Group’s Firearms and Explosives Office issued a Certificate of Accreditation to SJC Criminology Shooting Range at Saint Joseph College, Sitio Lawngan, Barangay Ibarra, Maasin City, Southern Leyte, on October 18, 2024.

This facility, which features three outdoor private pistol shooting bays, has been exclusively designated for the shooting workshops and training of criminology students, in accordance with PNP policies and in compliance with Section 3 of Republic Act No. 10591, as well as Section 3.64, Rule 1 of its Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations. The accreditation, signed by Police Colonel Ericson O. Dilag, Acting Chief of the Firearms and Explosives Office, is valid for one year from the date of issuance. It requires a dry seal for validation and adherence to specific limitations, conditions, and restrictions under PNP policies.

This accreditation underscores the institution’s commitment to providing professional firearms training facilities for future law enforcement professionals.
